International Fair Trade Town Conference 2020 postponed to 2021

The IFTTSC regrets to inform the Fair Trade Towns movement that, in agreement with our FTT Quito Conference Committee, we have postponed our planned conference for September 2020 to 2021.
We are all still living in troubling times due to the COVID 19 Pandemic, with producers and artisans being affected, as well as members of Fair Trade Town campaigns all over the world. It is clear that the conditions are not such that we can ensure a safe, successful conference for people to gather to discuss and collaborate together to advance our work in Fair Trade Towns.
We are extremely grateful for all of the advance work done by the Quito Conference Committee on the agenda, logistics and location. It truly is a pity that all of that work will not result in the vision of the conference this year, but all parties involved believe that postponing is the best answer for now.
