The Bristol Resolution was launched and signed by the mayor of Bristol during the International Fair Trade Towns Conference in the UK city in July 2015. The Resolution calls on mayors and local and regional authority leaders from Fair Trade Towns around the world to choose and publically commit to taking one specific step for Fair Trade at local level that will contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. To get involved you need to ask your mayor and/or other local politicians to make a commitment and sign the Resolution. We will publicise their commitments and hold them accountable for the achievement of this step by September 2016, one year after the adoption by the United Nations of the new Sustainable Development Goals in New York in September 2015.
